Rani believes every person deserves to feel strong, capable, and confident in their body. She takes time to understand what matters most to each client and works collaboratively to help them return to the activities that bring them joy. By combining a patient-centered approach with the current best evidence, her goal is not only to relieve pain, but to help clients build long-term resilience, strength, and confidence in their movement.
Rani earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Colorado Anschutz before completing an Orthopedic Physical Therapy Residency at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she became an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist. She is currently completing a Fellowship in Orthopedic Manual Therapy through Regis University. She is certified in dry needling, has taught in both the Physical Therapy and Physician Assistant programs at UNC, and has published research on the rehabilitation of sternoclavicular joint injuries. She also holds an advanced yoga teacher training designation.
Rani works with individuals across a wide range of orthopedic conditions and has a special passion for helping active adults and athletes continue doing the activities they love. In addition to her background in yoga and strength training, she actively trains in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, kickboxing, and Muay Thai. Her firsthand experience in combat sports gives her a unique understanding of the physical demands of grappling and striking arts, including the challenges of managing injuries while continuing to train.
While she treats all body regions, Rani specializes in shoulder, hip, knee, and ankle pain—particularly when previous treatments have not led to lasting progress. She has a special interest in working with combat sport athletes, climbers, runners, and active women looking to build strength and resilience, whether they are managing osteopenia, osteoporosis, or simply seeking to feel stronger in everyday life. By combining skilled manual therapy, thorough dynamometric testing, progressive strength training, and clear communication throughout the rehabilitation process, Rani helps clients gain clarity, confidence, and long-term control over their health and performance.
Outside the clinic, Rani recharges by spending time outdoors running trails, hiking, camping, climbing, and dirt biking. She also enjoys training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, kickboxing, and Muay Thai.
