Dr. Chelsey Vasquez has been specializing in pelvic floor and orthopedic physical therapy since earning her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Regis University in 2013. Her passion for pelvic health was sparked early in her career during a clinical rotation in Ethiopia, where she worked closely with postpartum women suffering from obstetric fistulas. This formative experience laid the groundwork for her deep commitment to addressing the complex needs of individuals facing pelvic floor dysfunction.
Dr. Vasquez holds the Pelvic Rehabilitation Practitioner Certification (PRPC), a distinction that recognizes her as an expert in pelvic floor physical therapy. She also holds advanced certification in dry needling (CMTPT), which she integrates into her treatment for myofascial pelvic pain and musculoskeletal dysfunction.
Her clinical expertise focuses on treating pelvic floor conditions related to pregnancy and the postpartum period, chronic pelvic pain syndromes, and genitourinary and gastrointestinal dysfunctions. She regularly works with patients managing symptoms such as urinary and fecal incontinence, constipation, pelvic organ prolapse, painful bladder syndrome, abdominophrenic dyssynergia and pressure management dysfunction, dyspareunia, and endometriosis. Chelsey also provides compassionate, evidence-based care to patients recovering from pelvic and abdominal surgeries, including cesarean sections, hysterectomies, hernia repair, and gender affirmation procedures.
With a unique blend of manual therapy, dry needling, high level exercise, and patient education, Dr. Vasquez provides personalized treatment that empowers individuals to take ownership of their healing. She believes in equipping her patients with the tools they need not only to meet their recovery goals but to sustain long-term pelvic health and return confidently to daily life, sport, and physical activity.
Before joining MEND, Chelsey spent seven years in Denver where she directed a leading pelvic health physical therapy clinic. There, she developed programs for individuals across the lifespan, including women, men, children, and LGBTQ+ patients. She is also a committed mentor and educator, having trained multiple doctoral students in clinical practice and pelvic health.
Dr. Vasquez is thrilled to bring her expertise to MEND and support the active Boulder county community with compassionate, specialized pelvic health care.
