“As a former Division I collegiate soccer player and new mother myself, I have enjoyed participating in my own postpartum recovery and return to sport. I consistently find myself researching and implementing new, innovative techniques into not only my patient’s postpartum treatment, but also my own.”

While born in the Midwest, Maggie considers herself a southerner at heart. She spent the majority of her school-aged years living in Charlotte, NC and Atlanta, GA, (which she claims as her hometown.) However, after a series of moves, Maggie is coming to the Boulder area most recently from Reno, NV.

The majority of Maggie’s professional career is centered in Atlanta, GA. She received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Georgia State University in 2008 and completed her Orthopedic Residency at Mercer University in 2010. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy in which she also completed at Mercer University in 2015. She was an adjunct clinical professor at Mercer University teaching in the entry-level Physical Therapy curriculum and the orthopedic residency. She currently teaches Dry Needling for Myopain Seminars. She is a Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS,) a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA,) the Physical Therapy Association of Georgia (PTAG,) and the American Physical Therapy Association of Nevada (APTANV.)

Maggie’s clinical specialties include movement analysis, functional movement screening, manual therapy, neurodynamics, dry needling, hypermobility-related syndromes, golf and tennis related injuries, sacroiliac dysfunction (SI dysfunction), performing artists, and athletic hip injuries. Maggie has been published on topics related to runners, golfers, and medical screening in physical therapy. She has also presented on topics related to nerve pain, chronic pain, runners’ and golfers’ injuries, hypermobility syndrome, and clinical reasoning for the physical therapist. Her area of research is related to the use of clinical reasoning by the physical therapist in the clinic as well as its role in the physical therapy curriculum.

When not being in the Physical Therapy realm, Maggie likes to get outside with her husband, son, and her German Shepherd, Josie, to explore her new home in the Boulder area. She spends her Saturdays in the fall watching college football and cheering on her Georgia Bulldogs. Go Dawgs!
